Strategic investment: ASTOR concrete business becomes part of the global CRH Group

We are pleased to announce the successful completion of a landmark transaction: the ASTOR concrete business has become part of CRH, the Ireland-based global leader in building materials.

The acquisition of four high-capacity plants in the Kyiv region reaffirms CRH’s long-term strategy in Ukraine — to invest in established, high-performing businesses and to further strengthen its role in the country’s reconstruction.

This marks a new era for the Kyiv market. The production facilities we built are now bolstered by CRH global expertise and extensive resources. Integration into a global leader’s structure guarantees unprecedented supply stability for large-scale infrastructure, commercial, and residential projects.

The deal creates a powerful synergy: combining CRH global R&D and financial strength with ASTOR proven service and technology. This synergy grants clients access to innovative mix designs and service standards, where world-class quality is reinforced by a deep understanding of the Ukrainian market.

CRH owns three plants in Ukraine: Podilsky Cement (Kamianets-Podilskyi), Cement LLC (Odesa), and Mykolaivcement (Mykolaiv). Since Autumn 2021, the plants have operated under the Cemark brand.
